The New World: Aeternum team has released details on the Hardcore Season Server, which will be launching with today’s update.
The second seasonal server is dedicated to the Hardcore Journey. If you want to try it, you’ll need to own the Rise of the Angry Earth expansion. This is because the team wants to create the ultimate challenge and push everyone to their limits, so full Artifact sets are involved.
In fact, one of the rules is that you can equip as many Artifacts as you want. The team doesn’t even know what that will lead to. It’s kind of an experiment.
The server offers a new accelerated questline that you can complete in 6 hours. Azerite Tailings are a new progression mechanism. They drop in various places around the world, and you can use them to create inventory caches that, when opened, will give you almost everything you need for your characters. These can be consumables, gear, artifact upgrade materials, and more.
Ultimately, the goal is to level up as quickly as possible, gear up, and prepare for trials to see if you can survive. If you don’t fall, you can complete all trials for a chance at better rewards. New rewards include Raw Orichalcite Stone and Runewood Resin, new cosmetics, titles, and more.
